OUR BARN RULES
We want to make coming to our barn a positive experience. This is a family atmosphere and all rules will be enforced.
Be courteous and respectful of all other Boarders and their Guests!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you cannot control your horse during your visits or Management deems your horse unsafe for Staff to handle, you will be asked to put your horse under the care of a trainer (at your own expense) or to relocate your horse to another facility
Horses are not to be left unattended or untied!!!
Horses are never to be out of their stalls/pastures without proper restraints. They must be wearing a halter and lead shank/rope.
Do not tie horses to stall doors, stall fronts, buildings or to fences.
Horses are never to be tied in any way by the bridle. A halter may be slipped over the bridle if a horse must be tied with its bridle on.
No one under 16 years old is allowed in pastures unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please keep all children under control. Climbing gates, fences, trees, rock throwing, etc. is not permitted at any time!
![]() ![]() Hard hats, heeled shoes and pants are strongly recommended
![]() ![]() ![]() Do not allow your dog to annoy others and their horses. ONLY quiet, pleasant dogs are allowed to be present. Only one mistake will lead to a ban on the dog's presence (such as chasing cats or not getting along with the barn dogs).
No Visitor pets are allowed at Morningstar Ranch (They may stay in the vehicle.)
![]() ![]() We recommend not to hand feed any horse. Treats may be given in the feed bowl or on the ground IF OWNER OF THE HORSE GIVES PERMISSION. This keeps fingers from being mistaken as treats.
Do not give horses extra hay without the management's permission.
If you take your horse away for shows, trail rides, you may take a supply of hay and grain but no bedding.
![]() It is the absolute responsibility of the boarders to clean up after themselves and their horses. There are adequate trash containers as well as shovels, brooms and muck buckets for the disposal of manure, hair, hoof pickings and general refuse. Please use these, and do not leave unsightly messes in the aisles or wash area.
YOU MAKE A MESS, YOU CLEAN IT UP!!!
The hoses must be hung on hangers and wound up after you are finished using them. Shod horses puncture hoses when they step on them.
Wash racks must be cleaned. Please sweep up all debris. This prevents clogged drains.
Turn lights off when you leave the room!
NEVER use or handle anyone's horse, tack, etc. without explicit permission to do so!
Keep tack room and barn secure and clean. Tack space will be assigned.
Morningstar Ranch is not liable for thefts or damage.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you board or lease a horse at MSR and plan to leave town, please advise Management where you can be reached.
